MY WORK

My paintings move between abstraction and figuration, rooted in the connection between human beings and nature. I paint what remains when form dissolves. My subjects — the landscape, the female figure, the face, still lifes — are only starting points. I am not interested in describing them, but in what is left once description falls away: stillness, memory, a trace of time passing. I work quickly, in thin layers of oil, leaving as much unresolved as I allow myself to finish. Light and color, more than form, carry the meaning of a painting for me.

ABOUT ME

I live and work near Vienna, Austria. Painting has been part of my life since childhood. Studies in art history, combined with instruction from internationally renowned artists, deepened both my understanding of art and my own practice. In 2015 I was accepted into Alex Kanevsky's workshop in Madrid, an experience that left a lasting mark on my artistic development. Before dedicating myself fully to painting, I also worked as a photographer — a practice that sharpened my eye for light, composition and the fleeting moment. Today I paint primarily in oil and exhibit my work regularly.
