Die Malerei begleitet mich seit meiner Kindheit. Ein Studium der Kunstgeschichte sowie Unterricht bei namhaften internationalen Künstler:innen haben mein Verständnis und meine Praxis nachhaltig geprägt. Meine Inspiration finde ich in der Natur ebenso wie in kunsthistorischen Themen, die mich immer wieder aufs Neue beschäftigen.

Meine Arbeiten zeigen oft schemenhafte Landschaften und Figuren, die keine exakte Wiedergabe der Realität anstreben. Vielmehr geht es mir darum, Sichtbares zu transformieren, zu verschleiern und eine eigene Wirklichkeit entstehen zu lassen. Beobachtungen aus der Natur dienen häufig als Ausgangspunkt, doch das eigentliche Schaffen ist intuitiv – eine Suche, kein Abbild. Die illusionistische Darstellung interessiert mich nicht. Stattdessen versuche ich, eine Realität zu erzeugen, die sich entzieht, die mehr andeutet als zeigt.

Ich kombiniere unterschiedliche Maltechniken: dünne, transparente Farbschichten treffen auf pastose, gestische Pinselstriche. Ich arbeite überwiegend mit Ölfarbe, die ich gezielt verdünne, um den Farben eine gewisse Leichtigkeit und Tiefe zu verleihen und ihre Materialität aufzulösen.

Mein Ziel ist es, eine subtile, emotionale Atmosphäre zu schaffen – leise, aber eindringlich. Die Werke entstehen meist spontan, in schnellen Gesten, was ihnen eine suchende, explorative Qualität verleiht. Dabei ist mir besonders wichtig, eine gewisse Leichtigkeit zu bewahren – sowohl im Ausdruck als auch im Prozess.

Painting has been a part of my life since childhood. My studies in art history, along with training from renowned international artists, have deeply shaped my artistic understanding and practice. My inspiration comes from nature, but also from art history — themes that continue to resonate throughout my work.

My paintings often depict blurred landscapes and figures that are not accurate representations of reality. I’m not interested in illusion. Rather, I aim to obscure what is seen, to transform it — creating a reality that is intuitive, elusive, and emotionally charged. While observations of nature often serve as a starting point, the process itself is intuitive and exploratory. The works do not seek to replicate the visible world, but to evoke something beneath its surface.

I combine various painting techniques: thin, translucent layers of color contrast with thicker, more gestural brushstrokes. I mainly work with oil paint, which I dilute to give it a transparent quality and to dissolve its materiality, allowing lightness and depth to emerge.

My goal is to convey emotion — subtly and sensitively. I strive to maintain a sense of lightness in both the process and the finished work. Many of my paintings arise spontaneously, through rapid gestures, giving them a searching, exploratory quality.
